Position Overview
The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing all SmartSimple sales and relationship activities in a specific vertical market.
Duties include pre-sales activities from leads through contract negotiation to ongoing vertical market engagement and growth within the client base.
The Relationship Manager works in close collaboration with the Practice Manager – Grant and Funding Management.
The primary responsibility of the Relationship Manager is the client’s relationship with SmartSimple as a company.
The primary responsibility of the Practice Manager is the client’s relationship with SmartSimple as a solution and the related technology.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for revenue growth in the defined market.
Responsible for providing sales leadership for the defined market as part of the SmartSimple’s vertical market strategy.
Ensuring effective and timely communications to prospects, key stakeholders and the internal teams and act as a point of escalation for sales opportunities.
Work in conjunction with the practice leads to help deliver the portfolio of consulting services within the assigned market.
Develop a thorough understanding of the market needs, the business and IT requirements, and the functionality of the SmartSimple solution for that market.
Evaluate and gather feed back from client after implementation.
Communicate with existing client periodically to explore new opportunities /strengthen client relationship.
Work with the appropriate technical staff for pre-sales assistance on qualified opportunities.
Work closely with management to provide status updates and financial reporting.
Business, technology or communications degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of three years proven sales experience in software (ideally SaaS) solution sales in the not-for-profit or related markets.
Comfortable working in home office setting.
